Dental Implants & Restorations
Dental implants are changing the way we do dentistry today. No longer does a missing tooth have to be replaced by conventional bridges or partials. Implants are surgically placed “root replacements” that fuse to the bone of the jaw and serve as a base for an individual crown or a multi-tooth restoration. Implants also help preserve the bone in the jaw in essence making the patient healthier.
With implants, it is possible to replace a single missing a single missing tooth, multiple teeth, or all of the teeth in one or both jaws. The number of options to replace teeth is endless once implants are considered. Implants can support dentures and partials, and they can be used to fully restore a patient’s mouth with bridges (Fixed Partial Dentures) in some circumstances.
One of the newest techniques called “Teeth in an Hour” allows us to take someone without teeth for many years, and place a fixed bridge on the top, bottom or both which can be used immediately following implant placement. Dental implants are the future of dentistry available today.
